Reframing the past, rebuilding the broken- kintsukuroi for the soul.
Kintsukuroi- or “golden repair” is the Japanese art of mending broken ceramics, the idea being that the lovingly repaired object gains beauty in the fix.
The world is broken, breaking more and more every day- yet always on the mend.
Some memories recombine beautifully to make what used to be better than before.
Others remain fragmented outdated notions- things that are best left behind or forgiven and accepted as they are now- in pieces.
