Resume
Statement:
I work in gouache, pastel, ink and digital drawing. A lifelong painter/poet, images and words have always been the delight of my life. I explore whatever I am engaged with until it’s over for me at the time. This way of working results in series of work around an idea, a color, an image, a medium, a material, a form, a word, a poem, a conversation, all those things that invite curiosity and inquiry.
Llyn Towner 2020
I have spent most of my life painting, reading and writing, oh and yes, working. I like the company of artists. I need the community of artists. Artists dare to dream. I was fortunate enough to have my own business and was able to relocate to Woodstock from NYC 20 years ago.
I became an Active member of the Woodstock Artists’ Association in 2002 and have been in many group shows in local galleries:
Woodstock Artists Association 2002 through 2020
Woodstock Regional “The River” WAA 2009 juror Niko Vicario, Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard
Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild, Kleinert James Gallery
Woodstock School of Art annual member shows
The Doghouse Gallery with Meredith Rosier and the Drawing Galaxy
The Barrett Art Center New Directions ‘10 juried by Nat Trotman, Guggenheim Museum of Art, NYC
Solo show “Then & Now” at the Healing Arts Gallery
The National Association of Women Artists, NYC
The Kentler International Drawing Space, NYC
